About
The Opticians Association of Canada - MB Chapter is having a casual pizza night and low vision training session.
You will be able to earn 5 CE Credits/Hours.
This workshop outlines the basic assessment techniques for low vision aids. The participants will have an idea on how to determine and calculate magnification for simple near vision devices (hand and stand magnifiers). They will also be able to dispense these simple low vision devices (hand and stand magnifiers) and do appropriate referrals.
Lectures will be presented in English.

*Once you are registered as a Licensed Optician with a Provincial Regulatory Body (College of Opticians),
you no longer qualify as a student.

All presentations on the schedule will be submitted for accreditation review by the National Association of Canadian Optician Regulators (for Opticians in AB, BC, MB, NB, NL, NS, PE & SK) and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
How many credits/hours you earn for attending is determined by the presentations/workshops you attend, and the province you are licensed in. Credits/hours vary per province based on policies set by the Regulatory College in your province.
